Hi, I'm Katie— I'm really glad you're here.
If you've made it to this page, you're probably carrying something that's felt heavy for a while. Maybe it's something with a clear name. Or maybe it's harder to name, and it just shows up sideways: in your relationship with food, in the distance between you and someone you love, in a teen you can't quite reach, in anxiety that won't switch off. Reaching out about any of it takes real courage, so first, welcome. There's no wrong way to begin, and there's nothing you could bring me that's too much.
I became a therapist because I believe the hardest things we go through get so much lighter when we don't have to face them alone. Whatever's underneath, whether it's old hurt, a cycle you're tired of, or a heaviness you can't quite lift, you don't need to have it figured out before you come in. Figuring it out is what we do together.
I see clients in person in Franklin, TN, and online across Tennessee and Mississippi. I work with ages 12 and up, and I'm currently welcoming new clients.

More than anything, I want you to feel seen. So much of what weighs on us gets heavier in silence, when we're sure no one could really understand. Here, you don't have to carry it alone. We'll do the real, tender work together, and there's still plenty of room to laugh along the way. Healing doesn't have to be heavy every second. I'm warm, I'm real, and I'm genuinely in your corner, and I'll meet whatever you bring with compassion instead of judgment. You don't have to have it all figured out or say it perfectly. You just have to show up, and I'll be right there with you.

I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach, because you're not a one-size-fits-all person. What I use depends on what you're walking in with. For anxiety and depression, I lean on practical, skills-based tools that help you get relief in the day-to-day. For trauma, I use EMDR, an evidence-based approach that helps your brain settle painful experiences so they stop running the show, along with Internal Family Systems (IFS), a kind way of understanding the different parts of yourself that can feel at odds. And with couples, I blend Imago and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you get underneath the same old argument and truly hear each other again. You won't need to know any of these terms; I'll keep it human and clear as we go.

Reaching out can be scary, but it can also be the bravest thing you do for yourself today. I look forward to getting to know you!
